KURUVI : Vijay's Next Big Thing [Movie][News]

Kuruvi is an upcoming Tamil film to be released in May 2008 starring Joseph Vijay and Trisha Krishnan. It is being produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin and LSS Sathyan. Dharani, who had success with Vijay in Ghilli, will be directing this action/adventure movie. Suman and Vivek are also part of the film's cast.

Supposed Story :

Vijay plays Kuruvi, not the chirpy bird, but a bird of a different type. The one line story, etched from sources is that Vijay will be playing nice guy who lives in Burma Bazaar, North Madras area of Chennai and makes a living as a ‘kuruvi’, a chap who goes to Malaysia as a courier and comes back with contraband items. One day he is set up by the baddies, and how he uses his brains and brawns to prove his innocence, forms the rest of the story. Trisha is playing the heroine of the film. The pair have also acted in three super hit films.

Songs Release Date :

Most awaited Kuruvi songs postponed from 14 April to 16th April. Vijay will also attend the audio release function. The Kuruvi shooting still going in Hyderbad. The movie will be release on 9th May. Kuruvi cassettes and CD's will be available in AnAk stores. Ayngaran, the international distributer would be making a similar release outside India. There are five songs composed by Vidyasagar, one of the songs sung by the Malaysian rapper Yogi B.The songs are said to be very racy as in every Vijay film.
